Nick established Mining Analyst Consulting Ltd in the summer of 2005, following a number of years working as a knowledge manager and competitive analyst within the financial services practice of an international consultancy.   He is a current member of the Association of Mining Analysts, a Professional Graduate Member of the Institute of Minerals, Materials and Mining (Prof.GradIMMM), a member of the North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers (NEIMME), a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), a member of the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals (SCIP), a member of the Royal School of Mines Association (RSMA) and an Associate of the SRK Consulting Group and SRK Exploration Services Ltd.

A graduate of the UK's Royal School of Mines and Leicester University, Nick's idea was to form a company which could leverage the skills developed in the work of finance and professional consultancy, serving the needs of mining and exploration companies.

On the Finance side Nick has worked in some of the world's great hubs ; London, Frankfurt and New York, as well as experience in Switzerland and France.  In the fields of Mining and Exploration Nick has worked in South America, Africa, Sahara, Russia, Central Asia and above the Arctic Circle.

Since founding Mining Analyst Consulting, Nick has completed a number of AIM Application Documents for mining and exploration companies seeking admission to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange, and he has experience of dealing directly with Nomads on the client's behalf.  He has also completed a due diligence study on a series of venture capital backed exploration target acquisitions.

Specific interests include the financial modelling and subsequent valuation of mining projects and the mitigation of risk through the finance and development stages.
